A fine natural color "cornflower" Kashmir
sapphire.
This gemstones color is velvety cornflower blue.
There is no extinction (blackness) in this stone. The
stone faces very nicely as a 4ct stone with an 82% depth.
The clarity is moderately included with no eye visible
inclusions. We have seen a Cartier ring with similar Kashmir
sapphire selling for $120,000 in a major US city. I bought
the stone at an excellent price and able to forward the
savings. A 4ct stone of this quality should resell at
$5000/ct wholesale.
The shape is a rectangular cushion with original
cutting. The stone was unmounting from an old ring. The
stone is certified with the Swiss laboratory GRS and the
New York laboratory AGL.
Viewed with microscope at 50x magnification: Diagnostic
Inclusions: Classic wide zones of velvet blue and silky
turbidity. Classic rounded with corrosion and wispy veils.
Price: $14,070
