A very fine, natural color, 5.7ct Kashmir sapphire.
• This large crystal is an extremely rare find originating
from the famous mines of Kashmir, India. Not all sapphire
from Kashmir are dark and saturated, but few are lighter
and bright. A dark crystal in the 5ct range is easily
$20,000 per carat. You may purchase this crystal for a
low $10,000 total.
• The stone shows a nice 5ct face with a very good
78% depth. The texture is faint giving an excellent 90%
brilliance full of life. This gemstone is excellent for
the collector hoping to purchase a "Natural color"
Kashmir origin crystal greater than 5cts in size.
• Viewed with microscope at 50x magnification: The
internal inclusions include the rare silk streamers exclusive
to Kashmir origin. The stone is almost loupe clean.
