A rare and reasonably priced natural color Kashmir
sapphire.
The tone is 75% with moderate saturation. The stone
is slightly deep showing a 1 3/4 carat face with no eye
visible inclusions and moderate diochroic effect. The
majority of 'gem' Kashmir sapphire are this classic blue
color. GRS SwissLab labels the stone "GRS Type Cornflower
Blue"
The texture is faint to moderate giving the stone
very good brilliance. The stone has a soft silky texture.
The stone is mounted in a custom made platinum
antique repoduction ring with a total weight of 0.45ct
(G/VS) diamonds.
There
are very few 2ct stones on the market in the world today.
Stones less than $10,000 per carat are impossible to purchase
until now. You can have this stone for $10,000 set in
platinum with diamonds. I matched this stone to a 6.5ct
on the market at a wholesale gemshow. This 100% match
was $24,000 per carat wholesale.
