    All Sapphire

One of the famed members of the corundum mineral family is sapphire, the blue brother to ruby. Next to diamond, sapphire (and all corundum) is one of the hardest substances on earth. When people think sapphire—they think blue. But this stone actually occurs in a wide rainbow of colors like pink, green, yellow, orange, purple, even black. Any other color of sapphire other than blue is called Fancy Colored Sapphire.
