Collection: Pietersite

Pietersites' an engaging aggregate comprised of tiger’s eye, hawk eye and something mysteriously more, creating multicolor patterns making each stone;  "One of a Kind"  This fascinating stone was named in 1962 by Sid Pieters to honor his father. Pietersite is highly collected for its 'chaotic' yet 'organized' play of color (chatoyancy)'.  Some call it Africa's Opal, with a single 'no longer active' mine along the Skeleton Coast in South Africa.

This private limited collection is a farewell to my work with Pietersite over 20 years.
